FICRI (Feminist Integral Center for Research and Innovation) is an independent nonpartisan Think Tank based in Jordan committed to holistic, integral, and feminist approaches to research instigating radical inquiry towards a feminist economy in the Arab world
As an independent feminist research center, our mission is to build a pool of local talent of thought leaders, who are committed to a holistic, evidence-based approach in research to address feminist realities in Jordan. FICRI center exists to serve and nurture a policy ecosystem that provides an equitable environment in which power and resources are equally shared.
To foster an economic and societal renewal through a process of co-creation of knowledge to awaken integral consciousness and the embodiment of a feminist reality. FICRI realizes this vision by engaging in a radical inquiry process that concentrates on illuminating the ‘inner world’ of one’s origins. Then immerse in the context of one’s immediately perceived essences. FICRI goes beyond surface traits and empirical “facts” to underlying moral values to locate every unique cultural and historical layer as it makes the larger story of feminism in the Arab world.
Using feminism, as a research critique, which aims to upturn the androcentric bias in research, thereby bringing to light the diversity of human experiences, and the fact that there are different valid modes of generating knowledge.
Co-create of knowledge that is trans-disciplinary, socially relevant, and geared towards conscious awakening. Connect with like-minded international educational and research institutions who assist with the process of radical inquiry to fulfil FICRI’s vision.
Identify and select a new group of emerging leaders to involve them as co-researchers that will help revive existing latent-bond and harmony that a community possesses. Guide the young leaders in the process of self-visualization and offer the support necessary towards transformation.
The knowledge generated is made accessible through our Community Activation FICR circle process, so that all members of society from decision makers to community members embody change. Knowledge is made accessible through connecting with existing movements and coalitions in the region to assist in societal renewal
